011 Cast iron tamper press

This project involves the development and manufacture of a screw press specially designed for tamping espresso. The requirements stipulated the use of cast iron as the material, combined with a clear, functional design.

The design was created in such a way that it is suitable for casting, which ensures simple and efficient production of the components.

The press consists of just a few components that are also easy to assemble, which optimizes the production process. This model is designed for smaller quantities, but can easily be adapted for large-scale production to enable a broad market launch.

For the production of the first prototypes, we decided to create a sand casting mold using the 3D printing process. This enables cost-efficient and fast production of the necessary parts. The spindle threads and other small parts are purchased from qualified partners in order to guarantee maximum precision and quality.

The combination of traditional cast iron and a modern design approach makes this spindle press not only functional, but also an attractive addition to any coffee bar.
