009 Carbon fiber brake lever

For this project, I derived the shape from an existing data set of a brake lever for a forged carbon tool.

It consists of two mold halves and various loose parts that act as mold cores or slides. This design allows the carbon fiber/resin mixture to be effectively compacted after filling the mold and excess resin to be pressed out.

The result is an extremely lightweight and high-strength component.

The entire tool was printed using the FDM process, which makes it extremely cost-effective and enables it to withstand multiple impressions.

It is not only suitable for prototypes and individual pieces, but also enables the production of small series.
